A delegation of the Embassy of Iraq visits Mansoura University

 Youssef Khater - President of Mansoura University received on December 27, 2023, Prof. Hazem Saddam Al-Sudani - Consul of the Embassy of Iraq in Cairo and Dr. Thamer Atab Al-Barki - Deputy Consul at the Embassy of the State of Iraq in Cairo. In the presence of Prof. Tarek Ghalwash - Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research and Dr. Ahmed Anwar Al-Adl - General Supervisor of the Administration of International Students.

Where Prof. Cherif Khater welcomed the delegation, stressing the depth of the close ties and relationships between Egypt and Iraq throughout history and the keenness of Mansoura University to pay attention to Iraqi students studying in the various university faculties in the two stages (graduate studies - postgraduate studies) and to provide the best methods of modern education and distinctive programs to provide them with knowledge and culture, as they are true ambassadors of Mansoura University in their country. The delegation expressed their great pleasure for visiting Mansoura University and their pride in the university’s scientific and academic status, the prestigious reputation it enjoys locally and internationally, and the tangible progress it has achieved in the academic sector.

The two parties discussed ways of academic cooperation in all scientific, cultural and research fields and the possibility of concluding a cooperation protocol with a number of faculties in the State of Iraq in order to exchange experiences and strengthen relations with the university.

During the visit, the delegation visited the Faculty of Law. They were received by Prof. Walid El-Shenawy - Dean of the faculty, Prof. Tamer Saleh - Vice Dean for Education and Students Affairs - and Prof. Ahmed Lotfy - Director of the International Students’ Office at the faculty, where the conditions of the Iraqi students studying at the faculty were discussed.

The delegation also visited the Faculty of Commerce. They received by Prof. Mona Al-Dakrouri - Acting Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, and Dr. Sarah Al-Derini - Director of the International Students’ Office at the faculty,where the conditions of the Iraqi students studying at the faculty were discussed.
