Mansoura National University holds the first session of the Board of Trustees at Mansoura University

The Board of Trustees of Mansoura National University held its first session after its formation, at the headquarters of Mansoura Governmental University, headed by Prof. El-Sayed Ahmed Abdel Khalek, former Minister of Higher Education and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and in the presence of Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, Dr. Ayman Mukhtar, Governor of Dakahlia, and members of the Board of Trustees. With the participation of the Vice Presidents of Mansoura University, the Secretary General of Mansoura University, and the Director General of Education and Student Affairs.
At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. El-Sayed Abdel Khalek said that the political leadership offers unlimited support for the establishment of national universities, pointing out the importance of cooperation and integration between public and national universities, exchanging experiences, establishing partnerships with prestigious international universities, and providing modern study programs that keep pace with the needs of future jobs.
Prof. Cherif Khater said that His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi is interested in developing the system of higher education and scientific research, and directed the establishment of national universities emanating from government universities to provide a distinguished educational service that keeps pace with fourth-generation universities, as well as the expansion of new academic programs, especially inter-study programs, with the aim of responding to the needs of the labor market, as well as providing greater opportunities for university education with international standards, emphasizing the twinning and integration between Mansoura Governmental University and the National University and the support of its human resources, including faculty members and administrative staff.
Dr. Ayman Mukhtar pointed out that Mansoura National University will have a great position in the future due to its distinctive geographical location, which is in the middle of the Delta governorates, in addition to the educational staff and faculty members from Mansoura University, which has become a great local and international position due to its distinction.
It is worth noting that Mansoura National University was implemented on an area of 40 acres. The general plan of the university consists of 20 buildings, where the first phase includes 10 buildings, and the second phase includes 10 additional buildings with an area of 14 acres, and these buildings vary between service and academic.
The number of faculties according to the presidential decree is 8 faculties and includes 27 educational programs. Studies began last academic year 2022-2023, and currently 12 academic programs have been activated, which are Medicine and Surgery Program at the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry Program at the Faculty of Dentistry, Pharm de Clinical Pharmacy Program at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Artificial Intelligence Engineering, Building and Construction Engineering Program, Mechatronics Engineering, Sustainable Architecture Program, Medical Engineering Program, Computers and Communications Program at the Faculty of Engineering, Bachelor’s Program in Nursing Sciences at the Faculty of Nursing, the Digital Marketing and Electronic Operations Program, and the Electronic Entrepreneurship Program at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.
Future specializations: (1) in the health sciences technology sector: critical and urgent medical care program, medical laboratory program, statistics and medical information systems program, radiology technology program, (2) in the humanities and administrative sciences sector: geographic informatics, business administration and international relations, digital marketing and e-business, technology entrepreneurship, chartered accounting, economics and finance, engineering business management, (3) in the field of engineering sciences: materials engineering and advanced technology, chemical and environmental engineering, sustainable water engineering, infrastructure and environmental engineering.
