Mansoura University announces the list of achievements, activities and international agreements for the year 2024

Mansoura University, under the leadership of Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, reflects the efforts made to enhance its position internationally and expand the scope of international cooperation in 2024, as protocols and agreements were signed with a variety of entities, universities and institutions, which shows the university's commitment to strengthening scientific and academic ties with the outside world, the most important of which is receiving important figures and delegations from various countries, which has the greatest impact in strengthening partnerships and exchanging experiences, and achieving cultural and academic diversity. These efforts contribute greatly to enhancing the university's position and raising its academic level on the globally.
The university strives to implement the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research and Egypt's Vision 2030, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership to expand international partnerships with institutions with a distinguished reputation globally, and to make Egypt a destination for providing educational services in the Arab region and the African continent. It also reflects the university's keenness to deepen its international role and continue to establish partnerships in various scientific fields of common interest.
The report referred to the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Mansoura University and the University of Debrecen, Hungary, on the sidelines of the activities of the first academic scientific forum between Egypt and Hungary, which was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the new administrative capital, in the presence of Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Prof. Janos Csák, Minister of Culture and Innovation of Hungary.
A joint cooperation protocol was also signed between Mansoura University and Kut University in the Republic of Iraq, to exchange expertise, training and consultations in areas of common interest.
A renewal of a cooperation protocol was signed with AMIDEAST to extend joint cooperation in the University's Student Service Center for People with Disabilities.
A joint cooperation protocol was signed between Mansoura University and Anbar University in Iraq, aiming to enhance aspects of joint cooperation, exchange of expertise and joint supervision between the two parties in scientific and research fields.
A cooperation protocol was signed with the German University of Cologne within the framework of the university's plan to implement the objectives of the project to link scientific research to industry adopted by the university, as well as to enhance academic cooperation between Egyptian universities and German universities within the framework of the multidisciplinary water project “I water”.
During the year, Mansoura University announced winning the UNESCO Confucius Award during the Authority’s celebration of the International Literacy Day.
It also announced the accreditation of the university’s hospitals and medical centers by the Arab Council for Medical Specializations, affiliated with the Council of Arab Health Ministers, to qualify Arab doctors to obtain the Arab Board certificate in various clinical and medical specialties.
The Faculty of Nursing obtained international accreditation from the German AHPGS.
The Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Center at Mansoura University obtained the Australian accreditation for hospital health services.
The renewal of the accreditation of the Oncology Center from the European Society for Gynecological Oncology.
The Arab Council for Health Specializations “Arab Board” exams were launched at the Faculty of Nursing at Mansoura University for the first time in Egypt.
Important figures and delegations from various countries were also received at Mansoura University, the most important of which were: the reception of the President of Al-Muthanna University in Iraq within the framework of the signing of a cooperation agreement between the two parties, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, the delegation of the University of Manchester for Dentistry to maximize cooperation, the Vice President of Kent University in the United States, the delegation of Al-Ain University in Iraq, the delegation of the Egyptian-Japanese University of Science and Technology, the Finnish Federation for International Education, the delegation of the Polytechnic University of Santarem in Portugal to discuss ways of cooperation, the delegation of the Embassy of the State of Iraq in Cairo, a high-level delegation from the Chinese Embassy in Egypt, the Jordanian Ambassador in Cairo, the President of the Union of Arab Academics in Iraq, the Bahraini Cultural Attaché in Cairo, the President of Taiz University (Yemen), the Sudanese Ambassador in Cairo, the Director of the University Scholarships Program provided by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the delegation of the University of Manchester, the President of the Libyan University of Sabratha, and the delegation of the Chinese University of Shenyang Jianzhu.
The university also received delegations from embassies of 16 countries within the framework of the introductory week for its students coming from 56 different nationalities.
