After winning the UNESCO Confucius Prize for Literacy for the year 2024... Mansoura University achieves 1st place among public universities in the field of literacy for the 4th time in a row

Mansoura University achieved first place among Egyptian universities in the field of literacy according to the results of the October 2024 session; According to the report of the Information and Decision Support Center of the General Authority for Adult Education, where university students were able to eradicate illiteracy for 12,288 students, within the framework of Mansoura University's efforts and its belief in the importance of eliminating illiteracy through its contribution to the literacy and adult education program in cooperation with the General Authority for Adult Education in Dakahlia Governorate, and within the framework of the objectives of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector and the Mansoura University Center for Adult Education Services.

 Prof. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, said that the university's interest in the literacy file is an implementation of the political leadership's directives towards building a new republic without illiteracy, and within the framework of the university's role in achieving comprehensive and sustainable development efforts in the state, and its commitment to serving society and promoting environmental development, using all available means and capabilities, and human staff in this field, as the illiteracy file is at the top of the priorities of national issues, which requires intensifying efforts to achieve distinguished results for the development of our beloved Egypt and in line with Egypt's 2030 plan.

The university was recently crowned internationally and won the UNESCO Confucius International Prize for the literacy file at the global level, which indicates the excellence of the university's efforts in the literacy file at the national and international levels.

The university president also thanked the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, the Education and Students Sector, and praised the effective participation of the deans, community service agents, education and student affairs agents, adult education coordinators, faculty members, staff, students, and work teams in the faculties of "Education, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Arts, and Physical Education" for their effective participation in the literacy and adult education file, thanking them. The university president praised Mansoura University Center for Adult Education Services, and the General Administration of Environmental Projects in the Community Service Sector for their efforts and their effective role in coordinating between the university and the branch of the Adult Education Authority in Dakahlia. He also thanked the General Authority for Adult Education for its constructive and fruitful cooperation with the university in literacy and adult education.
