Mansoura University Announces Faculty of Law as First Egyptian Public Law School to Achieve Institutional Accreditation

Prof. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, announced that the Faculty of Law has obtained institutional accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE). This marks the first time an Egyptian public law school has achieved such accreditation, adding a new milestone to Mansoura University’s track record in quality and accreditation.
Prof. Khater emphasized that this achievement is the result of sustained efforts to elevate standards in education, scientific research, and community service, as well as the implementation of quality and governance standards. He noted that this success reflects the Faculty’s commitment to enhancing its academic and administrative performance and improving its practices.
The University President extended his sincere congratulations to Prof. Walid El-Shenawy, Dean of the Faculty of Law, along with the Faculty’s vice-deans, the Quality Assurance Unit, academic staff, assistant staff, administrative personnel, students, and alumni. He commended the efforts that led to this achievement and reaffirmed the University’s continued support for its faculties in making further progress regarding quality and accreditation.
He also expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the University’s Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Center in supporting the Faculty throughout the preparation and qualification phases. He highlighted the pivotal role played by Dr. Nisreen Shalaby, the Center’s Director, and her team in providing technical support and continuous follow-up, which were instrumental in meeting quality standards and realizing this achievement. Prof. Cherif Khater noted that the accreditation of the Faculty of Law marks a new milestone in Mansoura University’s quality assurance journey—building upon its status as the first Egyptian public university to receive institutional accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE). He emphasized the university's ongoing commitment to enhancing academic and administrative performance and embedding a culture of quality across all its faculties.
The University President added that this accreditation signifies the start of a new phase dedicated to sustaining achievements and further developing educational, research, and community service activities. This supports the Faculty’s mission to produce graduates equipped with the knowledge and skills essential for the legal profession.
For his part, Prof. Walid El-Shenawy, Dean of the Faculty of Law at Mansoura University, expressed his pride in the Faculty achieving institutional accreditation—making it the first public law faculty in Egypt to do so. He highlighted that this accomplishment was the result of sustained, collaborative effort across all sectors of the Faculty, driven by a commitment to advancing education, scientific research, and community service in alignment with quality standards.
The Dean emphasized that accreditation brings a new responsibility, motivating the Faculty to continue improving its performance, maintaining its achievements, strengthening its academic and administrative capabilities, and fostering an optimal educational and research environment that befits its academic standing and its role in preparing legal professionals.
The Faculty of Law’s institutional accreditation follows its successful fulfillment of the required standards and the enhancement of its operational systems and academic and administrative practices, thereby bolstering its ability to efficiently carry out its educational, research, and community-oriented mission.
