Mansoura University Participates in the International Students Fair Africa- Fall 2013 (ISFA) in Kenya and Tanzania

In the framework of promoting for Mansoura university medical, scientific, and research services, a delegation from Mansoura University includes Prof. Asmaa Mostafa; the Head of Mansoura University Quality Assurance Center and Prof. Nesrin Salah Omar; the head of Foreign Students Office has visited Dar es Salam City – Tanzania and Nairobi- Kenya from 1-7 Oct. 2013. The visit aimed at participating in the International students fair Africa- Fall 2013 (ISFA) in order to promote for Mansoura University, as well as visiting some universities and medical centers to contract cooperation protocols with Mansoura University.
The visit started on Tuesday the 1st of Oct. by visiting Ocean Road Cancer Institute (ORCI). Mr. Diwani Massimo; the director of the institute has Accompanied the Egyptian Delegation in a tour throughout the institute. The delegation invited him to visit Mansoura University and the Oncology Center - Mansoura University for cooperation in the field of scientific research, therapeutic service provision and exchanging staff members.
After that the delegation visited Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences and met the Vice Dean Prof. Naboot Mimbaty to discuss contracting cooperation protocols with Mansoura University and exchanging staff members in accordance with the expansions carried out by the university. The delegation has presented him the Mansoura University shield.
The Egyptian delegation visited also the University of Dar es Salaam, No. 4 of the best 100 universities in Africa. They met the vice President; Prof. Younis Majaya and the Director of the Quality Assurance Centre; Prof. Aanestr Anderson to identify the strengths of the university, which allowed it to reach high rank of quality assurance, and to discuss on joint degrees. Also, the University administrative leaderships have been invited to visit Mansoura University. the delegation presented Mansoura University shield for the Vice President of the University, and Mansoura University Medal for the director of the Quality Assurance Center.
On the second day of the Mansoura University delegation visit to the State of Tanzania, the delegation participated in the International students fair activities. The fair began with the participation of 20 universities from: Russia - Malaysia - England - South Africa - Switzerland - Germany – Botswana, the presence of a large number of high school students of public and private English schools, and graduate students; as well as the delegation from The Nelson Mandela African Institute of Science and Technology, which provided an opportunity to promote a multi-university services.
The Mansoura University delegation, then, moved to participate in the activities of the university marketing fair activities in Nairobi- Kenya in the period from Friday, Oct. 4 to Saturday, Oct. 5. The fair began with the participation of 20 universities from: Russia - Malaysia - England - Germany - Botswana - Switzerland - South Africa, the presence of a large number of high school students of public and private English schools, and graduate students. Afterwards, the delegation met with representatives of the Botswanan Ministry of Education and skills Development - and many of promoting universities companies to promote Mansoura University multi-services.
The delegation came out with some recommendations, which were drawn from the visit. The most important of them are:

1. Paying attention to the establishment of new programs in collaboration with foreign universities.
2. Recommendation to establish programs for studying history and African literature in Faculties of Arts and Education.
3. The approval to provide grants for distinguished students in the Nile Basin countries to study at the first and second undergraduate stage.
4. Updating websites of Faculties and various university centers in English and translate admission rules, students guide, and different services and upload them on it.
5. Establishing the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Mansoura University..
