The Director of the Amideast Project Welcomes Mansoura University Students Joining the Second Stage of University Grants

Prof. Mohamed Kenawy; president of Mansoura University and Prof. Ashraf Abd Albaset; vice president for students affairs met Ms. Quincy der Mori; the director of the governmental universities grants project. The meeting was held during her visit to Mansoura University to welcome the new students joining the Amideast grants in the framework of the second stage of the high education initiative for the Egyptian governmental universities. The grants are offered by the U. S. agency for international development, and includes five universities; Cairo, Ain Shams, Mansoura, Alexandria, and Assiut.
The project will run for a period of eight years offering grants for 387 students of the previously mentioned governmental universities. A total number of 107 students got the grants in the five universities including 22 students got them last year and 23 students got them this year in Mansoura University.
Prof. Kenawy asserted that Mansoura University pursuing cooperation with different organizations providing educational support and enrichment activities in parallel with academic studies in order to contribute in providing grants in different fields.
Ms. der Mori thanked Mansura University for giving great attention and taking care of the students of the first and second stages. She noted that such grants will help to qualify students to adapt after graduation with the labor market requirements, and hence to get suitable job opportunities.
