Mansoura University Establishing Water Research and Technology Institute in Gamasa

On Sunday September 4, Prof. Zaki Zidan; vice-president for Community Service and Environment Development Affairs held a meeting with Mansoura University staff members working on water researches and technology in Faculty of Science and Faculty of Engineering. The meeting came within the frame work of the university plan and preparations to establish Water Research and Technology Institute. This institute will be established in the city of Gamasa on a piece of land owned by Mansoura University.
The university plan is coping the state plans to work on solving the society problems that would develop the Egyptian economy and maintain the health of citizens. The meeting discussed some water problems as sewage problem, providing the technology used in wastewater recycling, and the ways of safe disposal of waste.
The institute will involve water problems with scientific research and provide technological solutions that serve the community. It will include several departments that serve fields of water purification, researches on alternative water sources and providing technical consultancy for companies and society in general. Degrees award by the institute will be Master's and Doctorate in Water Research. It will, also, provide training courses on rationalization of consumption and the proper use of water resources.
