Mansoura University activating the “women empowerment unit “

On Thursday 3rd November 2016, prof/ Ashraf Abd El Baset – vice president for students’ affairs, visited the faculty of Medicine to activate the role of the women empowerment Unit.
In cooperation with the community service and environmental development sector and With the presence of prof/ Saed Abdel Hady- Dean of the faculty of Medicine, prof/ Nesreen Salah Omar Vice- Dean for community services and environmental development and a group of students from several faculties.
The activities began as a volunteer work inside and outside the university by sensitization and training on how to face harassment, the side effects of circumcision, violence against women and family violence.
Prof/ Ashraf Abd El Baset assured the continual of this work by training, filers, social network pages, and organizing a sport day for bike riding.
Prof/ Mohamed Kenawy welcomed the idea of establishing the first women empowerment unit inside an Egyptian university and assured the University’s total support for the unit and for the youth.
