President of Mansoura University discusses the establishment of a specialized center for children liver transplantation
Prof/ Mohamed Kenawy - President of Mansoura University, held a meeting with prof/ Ahmed El-Rifai - Director of the Children's Hospital, prof/ Ahmed Abdullah - Founder of the Gastroenterology Unit, and prof/ Mohamed Ezz - Head of the Gastroenterology Unit at the Children's Hospital.
During the meeting they pointed out the aim of the project, which is to establish a liver and digestive system for children in Egypt and the Middle East.
Added that the unit of liver diseases, gastrointestinal and endoscopy at the Children's Hospital is one of the distinguished units.
It is established for more than 25 years and the specialization includes all hereditary and acquired liver diseases as well as gastrointestinal diseases.
Prof/ Kenawy stressed that the university is interested in expanding the medical services through the establishment of specialized centers, adding that the center will work to treat as many patients as possible from the digestive system and liver of children, and will extend its services to the Middle East.
