An international surgical team at the Children's Hospital of Mansoura University for the surgery of the rabbit lip and the roof of the throat
The Children's Hospital of Mansoura University hosted the International Volunteer Surgeon Society of the International Association of Surgeons of the International association of Surgeons for the operations of the repair of the rabbit lip and the roof of the throat in children during the period from 27 October to 3 November 2018 under the auspices of Prof. Ashraf Abdel Basset, Prof Dr. Abdel-Hady, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine,Prof Dr. Ahmed El-Refaie, Director of the hospital.
The team consists of 10 members, including 2 surgeons, 3 anesthesiologists, 4 nurses and 1 secretary. The team performed 35 operations on the lip and throat and performed 25 operations by Endoscope.
Prof Dr Adham Al-Saeed, a professor of pediatric surgery and supervisor of the team, said that the visit of the team is the sixth visit to the hospital to perform some voluntary surgery to repair the rabbit lip and the roof of the throat in children aged 3 months.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Al-Refai said that the hospital administration is keen to achieve the highest rate of healing and use the expertise of distinguished surgeons from all over the world to transfer these experiences to young doctors and in the same way abroad to provide the best service for sick children.
