22 Students Received USAID Scholarships to Study at Mansoura University
Prof. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumy, the vice-president of Mansoura University for Education and Students' Affairs met the students who received scholarships to study at Mansoura University which were offered by AUC. This meeting was held on Tuesday 3rd November 2020 at prof. Rashad Badrawy Hall, Faculty of Engineering.
It is noteworthy that this scholarship was offered by USAID and performed by AUC so that the student can receive a bachelor degree from one of the Egyptian public universities such as, Mansoura, Cairo, Ain Shams, Alexandria, Assiut, Zeweil University for Sciences and Technology as well as AUC to study at one of the departments with special tuition fees. The program aims at promoting Egypt's vision 2030 and participating in the sustainable development's strategy of this vision through offering academic educational opportunities that focus on the fundamentals of knowledge, innovation and scientific research. It is characterized by excellence, experimental education and entrepreneurship and a good preparation for the labor market, while providing opportunities for scientific research that aims at creating positive and effective impact for students, the participating educational institutions and the Egyptian community as a whole.
At the beginning of the meeting, an introductory video about Mansoura University was presented as well as an introductory video about the accepted students of the scholarship. Prof. Mohamed Gamal Mahdy, the vice-dean of the University for Education and Students' Affairs and Dr. Beshawy AlQes Sedhom, the academic facilitator of the scholarship program at Mansoura university welcomed the attendees who were the following: The deans, vice-deans, directors of programs, teaching staff and the accepted 22 students of the scholarship (6 students at the faculty of Engineering, 13 students at the faculty of Agriculture, 3 at the faculty of Computers & Information Sciences).
