The Opening of the Operation of the New CT Scan Method at Urology and Nephrology Center
Prof. Ashraf Abdel-Basset, the president of Mansoura University opened the new CT Scan Method at Urology and Nephrology Center, under the framework of Urology and Nephrology Center's plan to develop and update some units at the center in order to provide the best medical service.
The attendees were: Dr. Bassem Salah, the manager of Urology and Nephrology Center, Dr. Ayman ElRefaie , the deputy manager of the center, Dr. Mohamed Abou El Ghaar, the Deputy manager and the manager of outpatient clinics, and Dr. Huda ElRefaie, the head of Radiology Department at the center.
A new CT Scan Method was added to the medical system recently at the center which is considered the latest device of CT scanning in Egypt and the total cost is 6.4 million Egyptian Pounds, donated by Aal Mohamed Kareem. The device was produced by Philips and this is considered the recent model that images 128 scans. The device is distinguished by the rapidity of examinations accompanied by high quality images which help reducing the duration of the medical examination and operating a great number of examinations in comparing with other devices, lowering radiation exposure to CT scan devices, preparing liver transplant patients through the accurate evaluation of the size and blood vessels with 3d images, and the accuracy in operating interventional radiology such as taking samples of different tumors, the accurate medical analysis of different tumors, and early evaluation of stroke.
