Mansoura University Signs an Agreement to Establish a Center for Measurement and Evaluation

Mansoura University won in ''Establishing a Center for Measurement and Evaluation at the University'' among a number of Egyptian universities that applied for the project and this project is one of the sixth session projects to establish a center and unites for measurement and evaluation as well as develop the systems of measurements and evaluation at the Egyptian Universities . Further, this session aims at sponsoring to support the digital transformation in the field of measurement and evaluation at the Egyptian Universities.

The first party who signed the agreement of the project was: The unit of Projects Management of Developing the Higher Education, represented legally in signature by Prof. Hesham Abdel-Khaleq ElSayed, the Executive Manager of the Unit, in charge of the Minister of Higher Education in Egypt. The second party is: Mansoura University and represented in signature by Prof. Ashraf Mohamed Abdel-Basset, the President of Mansoura University, Prof. Mahmoud Soliman ElGeidy, the Dean of the faculty of Arts, Mansoura University, Prof.Maha Abdo ElAshmawy, the Executive Manager of the project and in charge of prof. Adel ElTabeiy Zaghloul , the Dean of the faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Mansoura University.

Prof. Ashraf Abdel-Basset expressed his glad towards Mansoura University's getting this project as it is considered a turning point in developing the systems of measurement and evaluation at the university. Besides, he congratulated prof. Maha ElAshmawy for getting this project.

Prof. Mahmoud ElGeidy, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts expressed his pleasure towards the participation of the faculty of Arts in getting this project as well as the faculty's well preparation to develop the Unit for Measurement and Evaluation at the Faculty.

Prof. Maha ElAshmawy noted that the project aims at spreading the culture of digital transformation for the systems of measurement and evaluation, to improve the educational process's results and develop the systems of practical and theoretical exams to guarantee achieving the results of targeted learning. Further, the project's aims are to apply the systems of questions banks, evaluation and analyzing the results of the examination to guarantee justice and transparency in the process of measurement and evaluation at the University. In addition to establishing/ activating the questions banks and achieving its criteria by generalization and application of questions banks, developing and creating systems and ways of written, practical, oral and applied exams according to the modern ways of measurement and evaluation. The results of the project are to establish the center for evaluation and measurement at Mansoura University as well as establish a unit for evaluation and measurement at the faculty of Veterinary Medicine , and develop the unit for measurement and evaluation at the faculty of arts, Mansoura university.
