A Field Visit to Mansoura Petroleum Company for Students of Petrochemicals Program at the Faculty of Sciences, Mansoura University
On Tuesday, 29th December 2020, the Faculty of Sciences organized an intensive training program and a field visit for students of Petrochemicals and their Applications Program which is considered one of the exceptional programs offered by both the Faculty of Sciences, Mansoura University and Mansoura Petroleum Company. The visit was under the patronage of Prof. Ashraf Abdel-Basset- the President of Mansoura University, Prof. Usama Ibrahim ElAyaan- the Dean in Charge of the Faculty of Sciences, Mansoura University and the Engineer, Mr. Hesham Khattab- the Chief Assistant of Mansoura Petroleum Company for Operations.
The program was organized for the continuation of the vision of Faculty of Sciences, Mansoura University to offer the training opportunities for its students through activating the communal partnership between the ministries and the industrial institutions in parallel with the future vision of the university to strengthen the link between the education and labor Market. Thus, the Engineer, Mr. Ahmed Abdel-Fattah- the General Manager of Production Areas of Mansoura Petroleum Company organized the training program to recognize the activities of Mansoura Petroleum Company's fields in Dakahlia. This training program was held in coordination with the Prof. Ahmed ElMahmoudy, the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Sciences for Education and Students' Affairs, Prof. Ehab Abdel-Lattif Attia, the Executive Manager of Petrochemicals Program and Dr. Heba Mohamed Abbas, the lecturer at the Faculty of Sciences.
Prof. Ahmed ElMahmoudy stressed on the exerted efforts by the administration regarding qualifying the students for the labor market to train them, and organizing the field visits to the work areas. Further, Prof. Ehab Abdel-Lattif Attia confirmed that the cooperation between Mansoura Petroleum Company and Mansoura University will help strengthen the skills acquired by the students through recognizing the activities of companies of petroleum and mining field.
Dr. Heba Mohamed Abbas added that this cooperation is a step towards achieving the plan of Petrochemicals and their Applications Program at the Faculty of Sciences, and a part of the cooperation between the Ministry of Petroleum and Mansoura University. It is noteworthy that Mansoura's Petroleum fields in Dakahlia are interested in oil extraction and its separation, and natural gas. Besides, Mansoura Petroleum Company has a number of concession areas in the onshore Nile Delta: Mansoura area comes on the top, the Qantara concession area, and the Southeast Mansoura area.
