The Opening of the New Headquarters of International Relations Office at Mansoura University
Today on Sunday 7th February 2021, Prof. Ashraf Abdel-Basset, President of the University opened the new headquarters of International Relations Office at the General Administration Building of the University. The attendees were: Prof. Ashraf Tarek Hafez, Vice-President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Azza Ismail Othman, The President of the University's Counselor for International Relations, Dr. Mohamed Ahmed El-Refaie, Director of International Relations, Prof. Hossam Eldin Mustafa, the General Supervisor of International Students Administration, Dr. Ahmed Fekry, Director of TICO Office, Dr. Mohamed ElSergany, the former Director of International Relations Office, Dr. Mahmoud Abdullah, Coordinator of Touristic Programs at the Office. Besides, the other members of the Office: Mr. Mohamed ElNagar, Mrs. Sally Magdy and Mrs. Shaimaa Abdulrazik.
After the opening ceremony, Prof. Ashraf Mohamed Abdel-Basset, President of the University held a meeting to discuss the file of mechanisms of internationalization at the university and how the university can benefit from various internationalization scholarships, offered by international organizations for the Egyptian scholars. Further, he discussed the ways of raising the quality level and the ranking of the University internationally. Besides, he tackled a comprehensive plan to recognize the various fund opportunities of international programs projects as well as taking all procedures to raise the consciousness of the teaching staff members of the university via online workshops to recognize the international programs agenda and dates of registration. In addition to keeping in touch with all International Students Alumni at the University and coordinating with International Students Administration at the University.
International Relations Office aims at bridging Knowledge communication gap between Mansoura University and other foreign universities in fields of sciences and culture, etc. This can be done by signing cooperation agreements with regional and international universities and educational institutions. The office works on making the university's students recognize the international programs of students exchange, scholarships, and the available training opportunities outside. Besides, the office makes the teaching staff members of the university recognize the international programs of scientific research support and funding the scientific projects and academic exchange programs.
