Mansoura University Council held its 605th session on November 29, 2023, headed by Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University.
The University President began the council by congratulating Prof. Muhammad Abdel-Azim Muhammad, for assuming the position of Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Tarek Muhammad Mustafa Ghalwash for assuming the position of Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research.
He also congratulated Prof. Sherif Masoud Ahmed Al-Badawy, for appointing him as Acting Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Prof. Mona Ibrahim Dakrouri Muhammad, for appointing her as Acting Dean of the Faculty of Commerce.
During the session, the most important topics to university affairs were discussed, which were: signing a memorandum of understanding between Mansoura and Delta Universities of Science and Technology to train students of the Faculties of Veterinary Medicine and Nursing.
It was emphasized that university hospitals are still ready to receive the wounded and injured in the Gaza Strip, in implementation of the directives of the President of the Republic. He asked the academic community to actively participate in voting in the upcoming presidential elections.
Assuring the continued implementation of plans for sports, artistic, cultural and social activities during the current academic year, expanding them, and supporting innovators and those with sports and artistic talents, to benefit from the energies of youth and develop their belonging and loyalty.
Completing all preparations for the first semester exams for the academic year 2023/2024.
The Council approved the granting of a number of academic titles and appointments: granting 14 faculty members professor, granting 29 faculty members assistant professor, and appointing 23 lecturers.
The Council also approved the exemption of educational service fees for a post graduate student at the Faculty of Law for the academic year 2023/2024, due to her health conditions.
The Council approved the signing of a cooperation protocol between the university, represented by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the National Institute of Marine Sciences and Fisheries, in addition to signing a memorandum of understanding between the university, represented by the Faculty of Commerce and the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) in the state of New Jersey, USA.
