Mansoura University announces the winners of the Excellence Awards, the second session 2023

On January 21, 2024, Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, honored the winners of the “Mansoura University Excellence Awards,” the second session 2023, during the celebration organized by Mansoura University in cooperation with the administration of Egypt Government Excellence Award at the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development.
In the presence of Prof. Al-Sayed Abdel Khalek, former Minister of Higher Education, Prof. Al-Hilali El-Sherbiny, former Minister of Education, Prof. Reda Abdel Salam, former Governor of Sharkia, Prof. Yahya Al-Mashad, President of Delta University, Prof. Moawad Al-Kholy, President of New Mansoura University, Prof. Montaser Dowidar, President of Samannoud Technological University, Prof. Enas Abdel Halim, Prof. Nisreen Omar, Prof. Walaa Abdel Fattah, Members of the Parliament, Brigadier-General. Ahmed Al-Deghaidy, the military advisor in Dakahlia Governorate, Prof. Mohamed Attia, Vice President of the University for Education and Students, Prof. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development and the General Supervisor of Awards, Prof. Tarek Ghalwash, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, former Vice Presidents of the University, representatives of the Egypt Award for Government Excellence at the Ministry of Planning, Prof. Mohamed Abdel Salam, Director of Educational Institutions Awards, Ms. Esraa Hosni, Specialized Awards Administrator, Deans and Vice Deans of Faculties, Prof. Nisreen Shalaby, Director of the Quality Assurance Center and Head of the Internal Awards Committee at Mansoura University, Heads of Government Excellence Awards Teams, Faculty Coordinators.
The winners of the award categories were announced as follows:
1. Winners of the “Innovative Government Initiative” Award:
First place winner: A project to design nursing students’ experiences with play-based learning as a teaching strategy that was applied in conducting the Mantoux skin test at the Faculty of Nursing. The award was received by: Dr. Gamila Eid Ahmed - Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Nursing.
Second place winner: A project to create a database for scientific departments and unify the name formats for faculties and researchers on the global databases of the Central Library. The award was received by: Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Rizk - Director General of Libraries.
Third place winner: The electronic photo archive project for the Digestive System Endoscopy Unit, Specialist Medical Hospital. The award was received by: Dr. Mahasen Muhammad Abayeh - Team Leader.
2. Winners of the “Excellent Teamwork” Award:
First place winner: The team working to eliminate waiting lists at the Ophthalmology Center. The award was received by: Prof. Walid Abu Samra - Director of the Ophthalmology Center and head of the team.
Second place winner: The Development Caravans Team to develop the Egyptian countryside in the community service and environmental development sector.
The award was received by: Prof. Eman Abu Al-Fadl - Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and team leader.
Third place winner: Patient Safety Team at Children’s University Hospital. The award was received by: Prof. Dr. Ashraf Abdel Moneim El-Sharkawi - Director of the Children’s Hospital and team leader.
3. Winners of the “Governmental faculties Category” award:
First place winner: Faculty of Science. The award was received by: Prof. Osama Ibrahim Muhammad Al-Ayyan - Dean of the Faculty.
Second place winner: Faculty of Law. The award was received by: Prof. Walid Muhammad Al-Shennawy - Dean of the Faculty.
Third place winner: Faculty of Pharmacy. The award was received by: Prof. Manal Mohamed Eid - Dean of the Faculty.
