The most important topics of the Mansoura University Council for January 2024

Mansoura University Council held its session No. (607) on January 22, 2024, headed by Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University. The Council began by congratulating Prof. Ahmed Abdel Azim on renewing his appointment as Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education. The University Council’s achievements report on the most important topics from January to December 2023 was presented, and the need to announce exam results of the first semester within a week at most from the beginning of the second semester. The Council approved the granting of academic titles and appointments (9 professors - 15 assistant professors - 23 lecturers).

Prof. Awad Ibrahim Ahmed Muhammad - Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science - was also awarded the degree of Doctor of Science (D.Sc) / Chemistry / Physical Chemistry. It was approved to establish a professional diploma in clinical laboratory quality management at the Faculty of Medicine, and the academic regulations for it were approved. The Council approved the petition submitted by the Palestinian engineer Tamer Hussein Muhammad Al-Shaykhi - registered for the Master of Science in Engineering (Construction Engineering) to hold the defense of his master’s thesis via (Video Conference) technology through the platform that the university deems necessary due to his presence in the State of Palestine and his inability to be present in Egypt in the current situation.

The Council also approved the signing and renewal of a number of cooperation protocols and memorandums of understanding:

Signing a memorandum of understanding between the university represented by the Faculty of Pharmacy and the National Research Center for laboratory training in the center’s regenerative medicine research laboratories for students of the professional master’s program in immunology and regenerative medicine.

Signing of a cooperation protocol between the university represented by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Aquatic Medicine Program at the University of Michigan, Michigan State – USA.

Signing a cooperation agreement between the university and the Polytechnic University of Timisoara in Romania (Politehnica University Timisoara) from both sides (the European Union and Mansoura University).

Signing of a cooperation agreement between the university and the Institute Polytechnic de Santarem in Portugal from both sides (the European Union and Mansoura University).

Renewing the cooperation protocol between the university and Vilnius University in Lithuania within the Erasmus+ programs in the European Union.

 Signing a cooperation protocol between the university, represented by the Faculty of Medicine, and MED-EL Egypt Limited, in the professional diploma in cochlear implant surgery.

Signing a cooperation protocol between the university’s Faculty of Pharmacy and Al-Mustaqbal University (a private university) in Iraq.

Signing a cooperation agreement between the United Cities Sustainability Center in Norway, the University’s Faculty of Engineering, and the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology.

A draft cooperation agreement between the university represented by the Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University, and the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Texas - San Antonio.

 A draft cooperation agreement between the university represented by the Faculty of Engineering and the University of Cologne – Germany.

 A draft cooperation agreement between the university represented by the Faculty of Commerce and the Statistics Without Borders (SWB) organization affiliated with the American Statistical Association (ASA).

Signing a cooperation agreement between the university represented by the Faculties of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine and the University of Baghdad - Iraq.

Signing a cooperation protocol between the university, represented by the Faculty of Agriculture, and the Egyptian Gulf Company for Agricultural Reclamation in Mansoura City – Dakahlia Governorate.

It was approved to begin taking the necessary measures toward announcing and establishing (the Housing Association for Faculty Members and University Administrators) affiliated with the General Union of Construction and Housing Cooperatives, accepting the membership of the founders, and allocating a headquarters for it at Mansoura University.

A report was also presented to measure performance indicators and analyze electronic complaints received from the unified government complaints system for university hospitals and medical centers at the university during the period from 1/1/2023 to 31/12/2023.
