Signing a memorandum of understanding between Mansoura University and University of Debrecen, Hungary

During the events of the first academic scientific forum between Egypt and Hungary, which was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Administrative Capital, in the presence of Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Dr. Janosz Czak, Hungarian Minister of Culture and Innovation. The two ministers witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Mansoura University (Faculty of Agriculture) and the University of Debrecen, Hungary (Nyíregyháza Institute for Agricultural Research and Educational Farm).
The memorandum of understanding was signed by Prof. Tarek Ghalwash, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Cultural Relations, on behalf of Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, and on the Hungarian side, Prof. Zoltan Dubicze, Rector of the University of Debrecen
The agreement aims to enhance opportunities for scientific, cultural, and academic exchange between the two institutions, cooperate in scientific research activities and transfer knowledge, and exchange experiences in the field of agricultural research, according to the needs and priorities of each institution, to benefit from the capabilities available to both parties.
The agreement also includes cooperation between the two parties in organizing joint educational activities, exchanging information and scientific publications, designing joint programmes, courses and curricula, organizing joint training programs for students, faculty members and administrators, cooperating in joint research projects, and international publishing in scientific journals, as well as organizing conferences, exhibitions workshops, seminars and short courses in areas of common interest, as well as organizing a number of cultural programs and activities. The agreement also enhances exchange between the two parties of faculty members and administrators, the exchange of undergraduate (bachelor’s) students, graduate students and researchers, in addition to cooperation in joint supervision of master’s and doctoral theses.
The forum's activities witnessed several dialogue sessions in the presence of leaders and experts in higher education from both countries, to discuss the prospects for joint future cooperation in higher education and scientific research.
