Signing a joint cooperation protocol between Mansoura University and Kut University College in the Republic of Iraq

On April 21, 2024, Prof. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, witnessed the signing of a joint cooperation protocol between Mansoura University and Kut University College in the Republic of Iraq, the signing took place in the University Council Hall.
The protocol was signed by Prof. Tarek Ghalwash, Vice President of Mansoura University for Graduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Abdel-Zahra Hamidi Al-Rubaie, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, in his capacity as delegate from Prof. Talib Zidan Al-Moussawi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kut University College, in the presence of Prof. Saeed Abdel Karim Rapporteur of the Department of Pharmacy at the University, and Assoc.Prof. Mohamed El-Refaie, Director of International Relations Office at Mansoura University.
This protocol aims to exchange experiences, training and consultations in areas of common interest, especially related to developing curricula, raising teaching efficiency, and developing the activities of professors, students, scientific, administrative and technical faculties and their quality systems.
Prof. Cherif Khater said that Mansoura University is doing its best to implement the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research and Egypt’s Vision 2030, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership to expand international partnerships with institutions with a distinguished reputation globally, and to make Egypt a destination for providing educational services in the Arab region and in Africa. It also reflects the university’s keenness to deepen its international role and continue establishing partnerships in various scientific fields of common interest.
He added that the signing of this protocol with the Iraqi Kut University College aims at joint exchange between the two universities in establishing and implementing joint academic, applied and technical studies and projects, exchanging visits for members of the teaching, student, administrative and technical staff for the purpose of training and exchanging experiences, cooperation in the fields of Joint research, publishing and support for the issuance of relevant scientific journals, as well as cooperation between the two parties in joining international and scientific rankings through the application of programmes, curricula and management systems that lead to progress and advancement in a way that serves both parties.
Prof. Abdel-Zahra Hamidi expressed his great pleasure with the cooperation of Kut University College with Mansoura University because of its reputation and distinguished scientific standing, stressing the importance of higher education as one of the important factors in comprehensive development and one of the pillars of building modern society, and the desire of Kut University College in strengthening relations with prestigious international university institutions in the scientific, cultural and educational fields, which are focused on serving and advancing the new Iraq.
