Signing a cooperation protocol between Mansoura University and the National Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries

Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, and Prof. Adel Ali Ahmed, President of the National Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries, signed on May 27, 2024, a cooperation protocol, within the framework of joint cooperation between the two sides.

Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater stressed the keenness of Mansoura University to enhance cooperation with institutions, bodies and research centers, in order to maximize the use of researchers' expertise and benefit from research capabilities to enhance aspects of cooperation in the scientific, training and research fields available to both parties, to serve all priority research fields that meet the needs of the state to advance society and find advanced scientific solutions to the challenges facing the state.

He stressed the importance of consolidating cooperation and linking scientific research and its outputs to the applied side, with the aim of achieving development and leadership in the fields of marine science and scientific research in the country and achieving Egypt's Vision 2023 in sustainable development.

The signing of the protocol came in the presence of Prof. Mohamed Attia Al-Bayoumi, Vice President for Education and Students, Prof. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Tarek Ghalwash, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Maha Al-Ashmawy, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, and Prof. Iman Zahran, Professor of Aquatic Medicine, Director of the Laboratories and Scientific Devices Unit at the university and coordinator of the agreement.

The delegation of the National Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries included Prof. Abeer Al-Saharti, Vice President of the Institute, Prof. Hossam Issa, Head of the Aquaculture Division, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Wahab Mansour, Fish Nutrition lecturer, Director of the Baltim Research Unit and Coordinator of the Convention, Prof. Abdul Rahman Saeed, Head of the Fisheries Division, Prof.. Howayda Hassan, Head of the Freshwater and Bounties Division.
