A delegation from the Embassy of the State of Iraq visits Mansoura University to discuss ways of cooperation

Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater - President of Mansoura University received on July 28, 2024, Prof. Qahtaan Taha Khalaf - Ambassador of the State of Iraq in Cairo and Dr. Thamer Atab Al-Barki - Deputy Consul at the Embassy of the State of Iraq in Cairo, within Mansoura University's keenness to extend ways of cooperation and communication with embassies and cultural attachés in Cairo. In the presence of Prof. Mohamed Attia Al-Bayoumi - Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Tarek Ghalwash - Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Mohamed Abdel-Azim - Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Al-Moatasem Billah Mustafa - General Supervisor of International Students’ Administration, Dr. Shaimaa Abdel Wahab - Deputy General Supervisor of the Graduate Studies and Research Stage, Dr. Ahmed Salah - Deputy General Supervisor of the Bachelor's Stage, where Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater welcomed the delegation of the State of Iraq to Mansoura University, stressing the depth of the ties and strong relations between Egypt and Iraq throughout history and Mansoura University's keenness to care for Iraqi students studying in various faculties of the university at the two stages (undergraduate – post graduate studies) and to provide the best means of modern education and distinguished programs for them as they are true ambassadors of Mansoura University in their country.
Prof. Qahtaan Taha Khalaf, Ambassador of the State of Iraq, expressed his great pleasure to visit Mansoura University and their pride in the university's scientific and academic level, its prestigious reputation, and the tangible progress it has achieved in the education sector. The two parties discussed the possibility of exploring ways of academic cooperation between Mansoura University and Al-Nahrain University in Iraq in all scientific, cultural, and research fields in order to exchange experiences and strengthen relations between the two universities, as well as exploring ways of cooperation in activating joint academic degrees between the two countries. The situation of Iraqi students studying in various faculties of the university were also discussed, as well as mechanisms for attracting more Iraqi students at the undergraduate level in the engineering and scientific sector.
During the visit, Prof. Tarek Ghalwash accompanied the delegation on a visit to the Faculty of Commerce. The delegation was received by Prof. Mona Dakroury, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, and Prof. Mona Mohamed Sayed Ibrahim, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, and a tour was made at the faculty, including a visit to the virtual stock exchange, the virtual bank, and the faculty’s meeting hall.
