Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, witnessed on September 14, 2024, the closing ceremony of the 4th edition of the Student Activities Leaders Program "Building the Egyptian Student", which was organized by the Youth Leaders Foundation, at the Greek Campus in Cairo, where Mansoura University’s Team Wins 1st Place in Medicine and Public Health.
In the presence of Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity, , Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, Eng. Maged Othman, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Telecom Egypt, Mr. Ahmed Fathy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Youth Leaders Foundation, Dr. Hossam Othman, Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Innovation and Scientific Research Affairs, Major General Dr. Amr Allam, Permanent Undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr. Ayman Farid, Assistant Minister for Strategic Planning, Training and Rehabilitation for the Labor Market, Dr. Hani Ayad, Executive Director of the Innovators and Geniuses support Fund, Ms. Rana Abu Ghazia, CEO of the Youth Leaders Foundation, and a group of university presidents, leaders of the Ministry, universities, the Youth Leaders Foundation, faculty members and students.
Prof. Cherif Khater pointed out the importance of the university's role in supporting young people, stressing that student activities are the main gateway to discovering their talents and transforming them into future leaders who can understand the problems of their society.
The "Student Activities Leaders" competition included the participation of 48 Egyptian universities, and student activity teams competed at the level of Egyptian universities, and their projects were filtered from 611 activities to 100 activities, in 6 different fields, which are: (Social Solidarity and Human Building - Medicine and Public Health - Technology and Innovation - Manufacturing and Design - Simulation Models - Environment and Green Technology), and about 420000 male and female students benefited from these activities.
Prof. Cherif Khater congratulated Mansoura University’s student team, which won 1st place in the field of "Medicine and Public Health" in the competition, indicating his pride and appreciation for the excellence and superiority of them.
It is worth noting that the "Student Activities Leaders" program contributes to developing student projects that serve the goals of sustainable development and Egypt's Vision 2030, The program also contributes to supporting student activities to reduce the gap between university and professional life, develop students' skills, and qualify them for the labor market. It provides financial support to the best student activities, to contribute to creating a link between government agencies and student activities, and to highlight the efforts of these activities, in order to ensure the continuity of student activities and their projects, to benefit Egyptian society.
