Mansoura University Council holds a meeting in the presence of Dakahlia Governor

Mansoura University Council held its session No. "616" on October 28, 2024, headed by Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, and in the presence of Major General Tarek Marzouk, Governor of Dakahlia, and members of the Council.
Prof. Cherif Khater said that there is a twinning between Mansoura University and the governorate, and joint cooperation that aims to serve citizens, most notably the health file, and the development of squares and streets. He also expressed his great appreciation for the governorate's efforts to improve the visual image and the cleanliness file outside the university campus, noting that the university places the community participation file and integration with the executive bodies in the governorate at the top of its priorities, and is keen to harness all its human and material capabilities to provide full moral, logistical, and technological support to Dakahlia Governorate, to submit the necessary proposals and consultations to achieve the directives of the political leadership in achieving a better quality of life for the Egyptian citizen.
Major General "Marzouk" pointed out that Mansoura University is a key partner with the governorate in providing all services to citizens in various service, medical, educational, and environmental sectors.
The governor stressed that Mansoura University is a bright spot in Dakahlia Governorate with all its specialized research and medical centers that have made Mansoura the medical capital of Egypt and a fortress of science and knowledge.
Major General Marzouk said that the civilization of nations and peoples is measured by the extent of their preservation of the environment and the creation of their visual identity through the cleanliness of streets, the development of squares and the increase of green spaces.
The governor also pointed out that each of us works in his position to serve the Dakahlia citizen and joint cooperation is the secret of success because in cooperation there is an exchange of experiences and thus integration occurs between the governorate and the university, which benefits the citizen.
During the presentation of the conclusion of activities and achievements that took place throughout the month of October at the university; Prof. Cherif Khater expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Education and Student Affairs Sector and the deans of the university's faculties for the efforts made in receiving students in the current academic year, and the activities and events that took place and continue throughout the year within the framework of the presidential initiative "A New Beginning for Building the Human Being". He also extended his appreciation to the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector for the great achievement made by the university winning the UNESCO International Literacy Prize for the year 2024, and also achieving first place in literacy and adult education at the level of Egyptian universities in partnership with the General Authority for Literacy and Adult Education throughout the sessions that took place during the current year. He extended his greetings and appreciation to the Graduate Studies and Research Sector, for the entry of Mansoura University Vertebrate Paleontology Center into the Guinness Book of Records, for possessing the smallest fossil of ancient whales from the royal family of the ancient seas represented by the " Tutcetus rayanensis " fossil, after its discovery in rocks dating back 41 million years, in a precedent that occurs for the first time in the history of Mansoura University. He also praised the efforts of the Faculties of Education and Agriculture at the university, which resulted in the announcement of the accreditation of a number of educational programs in the two faculties by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education during the current month of October, as part of Mansoura University’s plan to complete the accreditation of all faculties and educational programs, as it is the first fully accredited university in Egypt.
