Faculty of Education at Mansoura University celebrates the 51st anniversary of the glorious October victories

Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, received Major General Pilot Ahmed Al-Mansouri and Major General Pilot Samir Aziz Mikhail, two of the most prominent leaders of the Egyptian Air Force in the war of victory, on the sidelines of the celebration organized by the Faculty of Education, on October 27, 2024, to celebrate the 51st anniversary of the glorious October War, within Mansoura University's keenness to enhance the spirit of belonging among the university students.
In the presence of Prof. Mohamed Attia Al-Bayoumi, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Tarek Ghalwash, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Ali Abdel-Rabbo Hussein, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Colonel Mohamed Abdel-Bari, Director of the Military Education Department, Dr. Shaima Abdel-Wahab, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Education.
Prof. Cherif Khater welcomed the Air Force Eagles, pointing out that the first air strike will remain a great scene that history will remember for a long time. He added that this victory is a witness to the greatness of the great Egyptian army, its courage, the strength, determination and steadfastness of the Egyptian people and their rallying around their leaders, full of faith and confidence in the clear victory, as Egypt and the Egyptians gained the respect, appreciation and admiration of the countries of the world after liberating their land.
Major General Pilot Ahmed Al-Mansouri, Commander of the Air Forces in the October 6 War, expressed his great pleasure to visit Mansoura University and his great admiration for the large size of the university, its distinguished infrastructure, and its clear distinction in various scientific and research fields. He also stressed his keenness to present the most important achievements and heroisms achieved by the heroes of the war, and urged and educated the youth and students of the university.
Major General Pilot Samir Aziz, former Deputy Chief of Staff of the Air Force, also expressed his gratitude for being at Mansoura University and his great pride in narrating the details of his participation in the victory journey starting from the 1967 War, through the War of Attrition and up to the victory in the October War, and conveying this journey to the new generations to develop the spirit of October latent within every Egyptian.
Dr. Mohamed Attia Al-Bayoumi said that the October victory is the greatest victory of the modern era, as this victory represents a symbol of determination, collective will, and fruitful planning to reach the goal.
Prof. Ali Abd Rabbo pointed out that the October War is a historical point which we celebrate and commemorate the heroes and martyrs who sacrificed their souls and gave their lives for the homeland.
Prof. Abdullah Ali Abu Shabana stated that the memory of the glorious October War will remain immortal in the history of Egypt. The brave Egyptian soldiers were able to raise the flag of their country over a precious piece of land, the precious Sinai. He concluded his speech by reciting a poem praising what our soldiers did in the glorious October War.
During the symposium, Al-Mansouri reviewed the honorable heroism of the Egyptian Armed Forces, especially the Air Force, where he spoke about his prominent role in the War of Attrition, and his breaking of records and combat aviation rules in the world, until his air battles and maneuvers and his fellow heroes - the Eagles of the Egyptian Air Force - became studied in local and international military academies. He also spoke about the importance of the city of Mansoura and Mansoura Airport, how the Mansoura Air Battle will remain in the memory of battles to be studied for future generations.
Major General Pilot Staff Samir Aziz Mikhail also spoke about a number of unforgettable situations, most notably his role during the War of Attrition, when he was able to carry out many successful sorties against the enemy. He narrated how he was exposed to death many times, especially in the October War, and his pride in belonging to Brigade 104, Squadron 46 at Mansoura Airport, and presented the maneuvers that took place, and the participation of Mansoura University with its students in the process of clearing the airport, which contributed to the pilots' continued ability to perform their combat missions, as well as how a maneuver was conducted in Ras Nasrani, and how the enemy planned not to leave Sinai and pave the way for a full life for them there, except that the Egyptians did not allow them to do so.
At the end of the symposium, the faculty shield was presented to the honorable guests, the leaders of the October War Air Forces, in appreciation and recognition of their prominent role in Egypt's modern history
