A new sports achievement for Mansoura University...The Under-16 Girls' Team at Mansoura University Sports Club advances to the Republic Championship

The Under-16 Girls' Basketball Team at Mansoura University Sports Club has advanced to the Republic Championship, as a new achievement added to the club's record of achievements, under the patronage of Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of the University, and the leadership of Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and the supervision of Dr. Sayed Al-Eisawi, Director of the Club.

This came after strong competition in the Dakahlia and Damietta Region League, where the team participated in 12 matches, led by Captain Osama Abdel Azim, the team's technical director, during which it achieved distinguished results that qualified it for the semi-finals, then qualified for the final round, which witnessed 4 decisive matches during which the team was able to reserve its seat in the Republic Championship.

Prof. Cherif Khater expressed his great pleasure with this achievement, stressing that this promotion reflects the university's interest in sports and student activities, and is the result of the efforts made by all club employees, team players, and technical staff, praising the high team spirit and their determination to achieve this achievement.

Prof. Mohamed Abdel Azim said that the club always seeks to provide all the capabilities that help develop the level of players, both male and female, and achieve more achievements. Stressing that this promotion is the result of intensive training and good preparation by the players.

It is worth noting that Mansoura University Sports Club was first announced in 1976, and the efforts of successive university administrations continued to activate the club and various sports activities, until it was announced by the Ministry of Youth and Sports under No. 565 of 2019, to be the first sports club in Egyptian universities, and represents one of the sports tributaries and one of the points of contribution of Mansoura University to the sports system, and qualifies it to compete in all sports locally and internationally in all federations, which qualifies it to prepare distinguished sports generations in various sports.

Mansoura University is also distinguished by the presence of the Olympic Village, which includes high-level sports facilities and includes stadiums equipped with the best equipment to enable university members to practice sports. Last year, the university began taking the necessary financial and administrative measures to implement the club’s construction buildings, to provide sports, social, recreational and cultural activities to its members from Mansoura University, within the framework of Mansoura University’s development vision, which is based on making maximum use of its capabilities, ensuring that all services are provided to university members and creating a stimulating environment for creativity and excellence in the field of sports.
