The Supreme Council of Universities establishes the Supreme Committee for University Education Sector Committees

The Supreme Council of Universities, headed by Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Secretariat of Prof. Mustafa Refaat, Secretary of the Council, in forming the new session of the University Education Sector Committees for the new session 2025-2028, established the Supreme Committee for University Education Sector Committees headed by the Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities, and includes in its membership scientific and academic figures, namely: Prof. Hussein Mustafa Khaled, former Minister of Higher Education, Prof. Sayed Ahmed Abdel Khalek, former Minister of Higher Education, Prof. Al-Hilali Al-Sherbiny Al-Hilali, former Minister of Education, Prof. Naglaa Anwar Al-Ahwani, former Minister of International Cooperation, Prof. Maher Mohamed Ali Al-Damiati, former President of Zagazig University, Prof. Mohamed Abdel Hamid Shaira, former Chairman of the Technical Committee for National Projects to Establish Universities and Educational and Research Institutions at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The Supreme Committee was tasked with developing and updating the working mechanisms of the university education sector committees on an ongoing basis during the new session, drawing up policies for developing and updating higher education and universities, and setting a general framework for university education and scientific research, in coordination and cooperation with the relevant authorities, in accordance with international scientific and academic standards, developing a work map for developing scientific research mechanisms in Egyptian universities, and setting ways to strengthen academic and scientific companies with academic, research, industrial and investment institutions inside and outside Egypt, and preparing a general proposal for mechanisms for qualifying and training students, especially the first university stage, and working on participating in scientific research, and preparing for future jobs and entrepreneurship.
