Mansoura University Council held its regular meeting in the presence of Dakahlia Governor

President of Mansoura University sends congratulations from the University Council to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, on the occasion of the celebration of Police Day, and extends a salute of appreciation and respect to the brave police officers.

Mansoura University Council held its 619th session on January 20, 2025, headed by Prof. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, and attended by Major General Tarek Marzouk, Governor of Dakahlia, and members of the Council.
Prof. Cherif Khater welcomed Major General Tarek Marzouk, Governor of Dakahlia, appreciating his keenness to participate in the University Council meeting, as well as the continuous activation of twinning and cooperation between Mansoura University and the governorate, in many files that serve society and contribute to the development of citizens.
At the beginning of the session, Prof. Cherif Khater sent congratulations from the Mansoura University Council to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, on the occasion of the celebration of Police Day, calling on God Almighty to grant him success and guide his steps to achieve more achievements for our beloved Egypt. He also paid tribute to the brave policemen on their holiday, which Egypt celebrates on January 25th of each year, for the sacrifices they make so that every citizen on the land of Egypt feels the blessing of security, so that development and progress continues towards a bright future in the new republic.
The Governor of Dakahlia expressed his great pleasure and appreciation for his presence at Mansoura University and among the faculty members, and paid tribute to Mansoura University, its president, vice president, deans, professors, researchers, and students.
The Governor of Dakahlia said that cooperation and coordination is taking place at full speed between the governorate and Mansoura University in a distinguished and effective manner, especially in defining the visual identity, and in all fields and improving services, and he stressed his full support for Mansoura University in order to continue performing its scientific, medical, research and educational mission, to serve the people of the governorate and other governorates in all the services they need. He also appreciated the role of the university, its president and professors in carrying out their scientific, educational and pedagogical mission in building and graduating generations that represent Egypt's bright future, stressing the importance of instilling a sense of belonging and loyalty in the souls of young people for its important role in combating extremism and terrorism in all its forms, and enhancing the culture of awareness of the nation's issues. It also aims to instill the values of patriotism, national sense and belonging in students, affirm the Egyptian national identity and correct misconceptions, and the importance of using reason and logic in all matters and not submitting to false ideas and news, and urging young people to use reason and logic in forming the correct opinion, as well as emphasizing that love of the homeland and belonging to it is a national necessity and requires us to be proud of it by paying attention to knowledge and work and emphasizing the instilling of love of the homeland within us and within our children. He added that Mansoura University is a key partner with the governorate in providing and improving all services to citizens, and participating in developing many service sectors. He stressed that in coordination and cooperation between the governorate and Mansoura University, we are working together to implement Dakahlia's national holiday celebrations, and we have full confidence in the university, its ideas, its cadres and its youth.
The university president expressed his great pleasure with the launch of Dakahlia Governorate's national holiday celebrations from within Mansoura University next February with the participation of the education and students sector and the General Administration of Youth Welfare, in an event that is the first of its kind, and is considered evidence of the fruitful cooperation and close relationship between the two sides in various business files and activities. He also stressed the readiness of all university hospitals and specialized medical centers at the university to receive emergency cases from the people of the Gaza Strip, which require quality medical services, pointing out that the university is harnessing all its medical and logistical capabilities to care for the injured and patients referred to it, while stressing the existence of a plan that includes more than one line to receive patients and provide them with all aspects of health care.
The university president pointed out that the end date of the mid-year exams for 2025 is January 23, explaining that the mid-year vacation for the academic year 2024-2025 begins on Saturday, January 25, 2025, and ends on Thursday, February 6, 2025.
The university president directed the rapid completion of the control work and the announcement of the results to the students as quickly as possible. He also directed the necessity of completing all maintenance work in the faculties and university cities during the mid-year vacation, and ensuring the availability of occupational safety and security standards in all university buildings and facilities, in order to ensure the safety of all members of the academic community, as part of the universities' preparations to start studying in the second semester. He also asked the deans of the faculties to take the necessary measures to develop and update the curricula for all faculties and teams in line with the latest scientific theories, the requirements of the industrial revolution and artificial intelligence technology, in addition to development in accordance with the state's vision to enhance the culture of awareness of contemporary national issues, and in accordance with the controls and rules approved by the Supreme Council of Universities.
