A delegation from Mansoura University visits the Administrative Control Authority pavilion at the 56th Cairo International Book Fair

A student delegation from the university's general conference and the Student Union Council visited the Administrative Control Authority pavilion at the 56th Cairo International Book Fair, held at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in the Fifth Settlement, which was held from January 23 to February 5, under the slogan: "Read... In the beginning was the word."

This was under the patronage of Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, and the leadership of Prof. Mohamed Attia Al-Bayoumi, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and the supervision of Dr. Walid Eltantawy, Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Assoc.Prof. Mohamed Sabry Saraya, Coordinator of Student Activities, and Mr. Ahmed Al-Ashry Hilal, Director General of Student Welfare.

The visit included attending cultural seminars and interactive activities organized by the Administrative Control Authority, in which experts specialized in the fields of governance and prevention of corruption participated. It also included a visit to the pavilions of the Ministries of Defense, Interior, and Higher Education at the exhibition, a number of pavilions of Arab countries, and major publishing houses.

Prof. Cherif Khater pointed out the importance of this visit in raising awareness among students about national issues, and learning about the state's efforts in combating corruption through the exhibits and programs offered by the pavilion, which included the activities of the National Academy for Combating Corruption, specialized training programs, in addition to awareness publications that highlight the areas of governance and promoting integrity. He also discussed the role of the university in actively participating in major cultural events, as the Cairo International Book Fair represents a global cultural platform that reflects Egypt's status and cultural leadership.

During the visit, the students met with representatives of the authority who provided a comprehensive explanation of the role of administrative control in combating corruption and establishing the principles of good governance. The importance of the role of youth in building a society based on integrity and accountability was also discussed.

The visit also witnessed fruitful interaction between representatives of Mansoura University and officials, where opinions were exchanged and questions were raised about anti-corruption mechanisms and how to participate effectively in reporting violations, within the framework of their role in achieving sustainable development.

The students expressed their pleasure with this visit, stressing that it was a great opportunity for them to increase their national awareness, the role of the Administrative Control Authority in combating corruption, as well as their role in building a society based on transparency and accountability, under the new republic. They also stressed that the visit gave them the opportunity to view the latest publications and learn about different cultures.

It is worth noting that the Administrative Control Authority's pavilion at the book fair highlights the Authority's efforts in spreading the values of integrity and transparency, and raising awareness of the dangers of corruption, in order to achieve the goals of the National Strategy for Combating Corruption, and in a way that contributes to building a society aware of the dangers of corruption and capable of combating it.

It is worth noting that the activities of the 56th session of the Cairo International Book Fair continued from January 23, 2025 until February 5, with the participation of more than 1,345 publishing houses from 80 countries. The 56th session of the fair witnessed unparalleled success and a tremendous ability to attract the public from different parts, due to the diversity of events and exhibits, as the fair presented 600 diverse events including cultural and artistic activities, throughout the days of the fair
