Prominent participation of Mansoura University and Mansoura National University in the “University Education Forum” held in the UAE

A joint delegation from Mansoura University and Mansoura National University, under the patronage of Prof. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, and Mansoura National University, participated in the "University Education" Forum held in the United Arab Emirates, under the patronage of Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Khalifa bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, from January 23 to 24, 2025, as part of efforts to enhance regional academic cooperation, and in implementation of the "Study in Egypt" initiative.

The delegation included Dr. Al-Moatasem Billah Al-Bahrawy, Supervisor of the Administration of International Students, and Assoc. Prof. Shaima Mahmoud Abdel-Wahab, Deputy General Supervisor of the Administration of International Students at Mansoura University, and from Mansoura National University, Prof. Ihab Abdel-Hay, Coordinator of the Administration of International Students, and Prof. Hassan Abu Al-Wafa, Head of the Administration of International Students at the University.

From the Egyptian side, Prof. Ahmed Abdel Ghani, Director of the Central Administration for International Students Affairs at the Ministry of Higher Education, and supervisor of the Egyptian delegation, attended, in addition to a group of prominent figures and officials from Egyptian, Emirati and international universities and distinguished academic institutions.

During the forum, the delegation presented the distinguished academic programs, available opportunities and scholarships, in addition to providing academic guidance to students to help them choose the specializations and universities that suit their capabilities and future ambitions, to attract international students to study at the two universities, with a focus on highlighting the distinguished educational programs they offer. The delegation also sought to enhance academic cooperation with educational institutions in the Emirates, and to highlight the quality of education and advanced services provided by the two universities to international students.

Prof. Cherif Khater said that participation in this forum reflects the commitment to implementing the directives of the political leadership to expand the horizons of international cooperation, and develop educational and scientific programs according to international standards, to enhance the quality and strength of the educational output by opening up to international experiences, and enhancing ways to establish strategic partnerships with international universities, which would attract more students of different nationalities within the "Study in Egypt" initiative, which would effectively contribute to increasing the university's funding sources, enhance its position on the international scene, and increase opportunities for academic and research cooperation, which would contribute to achieving sustainable development at the regional and international levels.

The delegation stressed the importance of participating in such events that would enhance cultural and scientific exchange with Arab countries and various countries of the world, which supports the achievement of Egypt's Vision 2030 in making it a regional center for higher education. The delegation also praised the distinguished organization of the forum, and the great facilities provided by the event organizers, which enabled participating universities to display their services and reach a wide segment of students of different nationalities.

The exhibition of Mansoura and Mansoura National Universities witnessed a great turnout from students and parents, as the spotlight was on the various academic specializations and programs offered by the two universities, and the modern infrastructure that provides an integrated educational environment. The delegation also provided a detailed explanation of the benefits that incoming students receive, including academic support and distinguished student services, in addition to distributing posters about the university, electronic copies of information and a guide for incoming students at Mansoura University to visitors to the exhibition, which allowed them to see the most important and latest specializations offered, which contributes to guiding them to choose what suits their aspirations.

It is worth noting, according to the statement issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, that the Egyptian side held several meetings on the sidelines of the forum with a number of academic bodies, including the Sorbonne University branch in the United Arab Emirates, and the Canadian Center, where ways of cooperation and exchange of academic expertise were discussed.

The Egyptian delegation also made field visits to a number of secondary schools in the Emirates with the aim of promoting the "Study in Egypt" initiative, which aims to attract international students and encourage them to enroll in Egyptian universities.
