Mansoura University Council holds its regular meeting in the presence of Dakahlia Governor

The President of Mansoura University extends his sincere congratulations to the university members on the occasion of the approaching holy month of Ramadan, wishing that Allah will return it to the Islamic and Arab nation with goodness, blessings and prosperity.
The Governor:
- There is serious, fruitful and constructive cooperation between the governorate and the university in order to serve the Dakahlia citizen.
- I appreciate the role of Mansoura University in its cooperation with the governorate to celebrate Dakahlia's national holiday.
Prof. Cherif Khater praises the success of the experience of cooperation between the governorate and the university in implementing the celebration of the governorate's national holiday for the first time at Mansoura University.
Mansoura University Council held its session No. "620" on February 24, 2025, headed by Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, and in the presence of Major General Tarek Marzouk, Governor of Dakahlia, and the members of the Council.
Prof. Cherif Khater welcomed Major General Tarek Marzouk, Governor of Dakahlia, appreciating his keenness to participate in the University Council meeting despite his constant preoccupation, as well as the continuous activation of twinning and cooperation between Mansoura University and the governorate, in many files that serve the community and contribute to the development of citizens. He also extended his greetings and appreciation to Major General Tarek Marzouk, congratulating him on the success of the cooperation experience between the governorate and the university in implementing the celebration of the governorate's national holiday for the first time at Mansoura University, appreciating the efforts of the education and student sector and the Faculty of Commerce at the university in participating in organizing the ceremony under the supervision of Prof. Mohamed Attia Al-Bayoumi, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs.
Major General Marzouk said that Mansoura University is the scientific partner of Dakahlia Governorate for the construction and development witnessed by the governorate in accordance with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's construction of the new republic. He added that there is fruitful and constructive cooperation between the governorate and the university in order to serve the Dakahlia citizen in various service sectors, whether educational, medical, environmental, etc. He also appreciated the role of Mansoura University in its cooperation with the governorate to celebrate the Dakahlia National Day on the occasion of the 775th anniversary of the victory of the Mansoura people over the European invasion, stressing that cooperation between all state institutions is the only way to meet the needs and demands of citizens.
The council listened to a report on the most prominent activities and achievements of Mansoura University during the month of February 2025, then the decisions of the University Council meeting No. 619 held in January 2025 were approved, as well as the decisions of the professor, the university president, that he took by delegation on behalf of the university council, with the council being informed.
The council approved the university's budget project in the sectors (education - hospitals) for the fiscal year 2025/2026. The Council approved the granting of academic titles and appointments (14 professors - 18 assistant professors - 22 lecturers - 1 consultant - 1 assistant consultant - 3 colleagues).
The Council also approved the provision of scholarships for students and scholars from the State of Djibouti starting from the next academic year 2025-2026, with the number of scholarships to be as follows: 45 scholarships, 10 scholarships for each Faculty of law, education and arts, and one scholarship for each faculty of the rest of the university's faculties.
The Council approved the creation of new specific programs at the postgraduate level in the Faculty of Engineering, and the approval of their study regulations, as follows: (Smart Built Environment Program - Renewable Energy Engineering Program - Artificial Intelligence Engineering Program).
It also approved the creation of two diplomas at the postgraduate level in the Faculty of Science, and the approval of their study regulations, as follows: (Diploma in Embryology and Microscopic Injection Techniques in the Department of Zoology - Diploma in Occupational Safety, Health and Environment in the Department of Chemistry).
The Council also approved the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Technical University of Cologne and Mansoura University regarding the financing of the (I-Water) project by the German Agency (DAAD).
