During the 3rd edition of the Saudi German Health Awards ceremony, a medical team at the Mansoura University Children's Hospital receives the Best Project Award for Improving the Quality of Health Services

Mansoura University, represented by the Simulation Laboratory Team for Continuing Medical Education and Training at the University Children's Hospital, headed by Prof. Ashraf Al-Sharkawi, Director of the Hospital, participated in the closing ceremony to honor healthcare providers who won the "Saudi German Health" Award in its third edition for the year 2024, which witnessed the honoring of the most prominent providers of distinguished healthcare services.

This came in the presence of a number of prominent leaders in the field of healthcare, under the auspices of the Ministries of Health and Population, Social Solidarity, Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the National Academy for Training.

Prof. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, thanked all those in charge of the celebration, stressing that this competition represents a distinguished initiative to honor distinguished people in the health sector, which is a factor that encourages innovation and creativity in the field of healthcare in Egypt. He congratulated the medical team and the University Children's Hospital staff, wishing them more success and excellence, pointing out the university's keenness to keep its medical sector at the forefront with its distinguished medical services as a fortress of medicine in Egypt, and to provide integrated medical services to patients, within the framework of the directives of the President of the Republic to care for the health of citizens, facilitate patients and provide medical services that meet their needs. He added that the university has paid great attention to supporting its university hospitals, as they provide medical services to nearly a third of Egypt's population with a frequency rate of nearly 2 million patients annually.

It is noteworthy that the Simulation Laboratory Team for Continuing Medical Education and Training was established at the University Children's Hospital in early 2004 through self-efforts, and the project is the first of its kind among Mansoura University hospitals and centers, and aims to provide a training and educational means to train medical service providers on the skills that must be acquired to provide safe medical services, especially for children, as well as to address all errors that are detected during the provision of medical services while preserving the dignity of the child's psychological state, and the project achieved impressive results in developing the capabilities of service providers, especially cardiopulmonary resuscitation service.
