Honoring Huawei Academy at Mansoura University and its students who won the global competition

Huawei Academy at the Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University, was honored among the top five academies in public universities, during the Huawei ICT Academy Conference and Trainers Forum, which was held to celebrate innovation and empower young cadres.
Prof. Abeer Tawakel, Executive Director of the Academy, was also honored as one of the top five Huawei Academies Directors in public universities, who played a pivotal role in refining students' talents, training them on the latest advanced technologies, and enhancing their competitive capabilities in line with the requirements of the local and global labor market.
The outstanding students from Mansoura University who won first place at the global, regional and local levels in the fields of computing, networks and cloud computing for the years 2023 and 2024 were also honored, in which 164 teams from 34 countries around the world participated. They are the student Amir Muhammad Shatia from the Department of Mechatronics Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering who won first place in the field of cloud services, and the student Ahmed Muhammad Al-Sharqawi from the Department of Computer Engineering and Control Systems at the Faculty of Engineering in the field of cloud computing.
Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of the University, congratulated the Huawei Academy administration headed by Prof. Sherif El-Badawy, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and its brilliant students, pointing out that this honor confirms the status of Mansoura University and the excellence of its faculty members, as well as the brilliance of its students in various fields, pointing out that the university pays great attention to sponsoring innovators and geniuses in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, on the importance of sponsoring the talented, geniuses and innovators, and within the framework of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the university is working to create a stimulating and supportive environment for excellence and innovation, to build a generation of distinguished young staff, capable of competing globally, which contributes to preparing an effective scientific and technological base, producing knowledge, capable of innovation, and driving the national economy towards continuous progress. He added that innovators are the makers of change in the future who are capable of achieving sustainable development and achieving Egypt's Vision 2030, and facing the challenges facing our country.
Prof. Abeer Tawakel, Director of Huawei Academy, expressed her great pleasure for this honor, noting that Huawei Academy at the Faculty of Engineering has taken great steps to provide great support to trainees to achieve the university's vision in achieving the national strategy for education and supporting creativity and innovation as one of the important axes of the strategy.
It is worth noting that Huawei Academies around the world provide integrated training in the most prominent technical fields required globally, such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, communications, and networks, which opens up broad horizons for students to explore their potential and contribute to the development of these vital technologies that shape the future of the digital world.
