Mansoura University concluded on March 5, 2025, the activities of the initial training course in national education for female students, in the presence of Prof. Mohamed Attia Al-Bayoumi, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Haitham Abdel-Qader Awad, Military Advisor to Dakahlia Governorate, Prof. Mahmoud Al-Jaidi, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Dr. Walid Al-Tantawi, Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Colonel Mohamed Abdel-Bari, Director of the Military Education Department at the University, Vice Deans of the Faculty of Arts, and faculty members.
The training course comes within the framework of Mansoura University taking the initiative to be one of the first Egyptian universities to activate the cooperation protocol between the Popular and Military Defense Forces led by Major General Ahmed Osama Abdel Hamid Dawoud, Commander of the Popular and Military Defense Forces, with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research under the auspices of Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with the aim of building new generations armed with science, knowledge and national awareness, which It aims to develop national education curricula and implement joint awareness and educational activities to deepen the spirit of loyalty and belonging among university students, both male and female, and to familiarize them with the size of the challenges surrounding the Egyptian state.
Prof. Cherif Khater, President of the University expressed his deep appreciation for the efforts made by the Armed Forces, represented by the leadership of the Popular and Military Defense Forces, to raise the level of awareness among the sons of the nation to inform them of the role played by the Egyptian state to preserve its gains and national security.
Prof. Mohamed Attia welcomed the attendees, stressing his pleasure with the effective communication between state institutions to support the youth of the nation, as well as the role assigned to the university in building youth and presenting them to society as good citizens. He also praised the fruitful cooperation with the Military Education Department, to instill the national spirit among students, and qualify and prepare them to engage in community activities and volunteering, stressing the importance of national education courses in developing national awareness, enhancing the values of belonging and citizenship, and providing female students with the necessary knowledge to understand their rights and duties towards the homeland and society. He added that this program will help female students build strong and disciplined personalities, while enhancing their sense of national responsibility.
Colonel Mohamed Abdel Bary, Director of Military Education at Mansoura University, said that the first batch of students of the National Education course for female students at Mansoura University graduated, through which topics were taught about military culture, medical service, confronting crises and challenges, defining national projects, the role of the armed forces in preserving the constitution and democracy, and preserving the basic components of the state, stressing that organizing military education courses for male students and national education for female students - within the university - in addition to field visits to military institutions and units - and major national projects - had a positive impact on developing the national sense - and consolidating the principle of citizenship among male and female students. He had also announced that the result of the course for female students who met the conditions for taking the exam reached 100%.
At the end of the event, Prof. Mohamed Attia honored those in charge of implementing the course from the Military Education Department at Mansoura University, and the faculty members and supervisors of the training course from the General Administration of Student Welfare at the university and the distinguished female students in the course.
It is noteworthy that the first training course at Mansoura University began in the Faculty of Arts and continued for two weeks, for 60 training hours, during which the spotlight was shed on topics about military culture, medical service, confronting crises and challenges, defining national projects, the role of the armed forces in preserving the constitution and democracy, and preserving the basic components of the state, 4th and 5th generation wars, internal and external threats to the country, and the method of confronting them.
