Mansoura University launches the activities of the 20th Ramadan tournament under the slogan "Partnership to Build the Human Being"

Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, opened on March 4, 2025, the activities of the 20th Ramadan tournament for football, table tennis, billiards, and chess, for faculty members at the university and Delta Alliance universities, which is organized by the Faculty Members Club, under the slogan "Partnership to Build the Human Being" in the covered hall of the Olympic Village, and held during the month of Ramadan from 4 Ramadan to 19 Ramadan 1446 AH.
The opening was attended by Prof. Hamdan Rabie, President of Damietta University, Prof. Al-Saeed Abdel-Hadi, President of Horus University, Prof. Montaser Dowidar, President of Samanoud Technological University, Prof. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Vice President of Mansoura University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Tarek Ghalwash, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Abdel-Qader Mohamed Abdel-Qader, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Faculty Members Club, deans and vice deans of faculties and faculty members at Mansoura University and participating universities.
During the opening of the Ramadan tournament, Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater welcomed the delegations of universities to participate in the tournament's activities, stressing that this Ramadan tournament is not just sports competitions, but an opportunity to enhance positive communication and bonds of friendship between faculty members in our universities. And to consolidate the culture of teamwork for faculty members and their cooperation together in a friendly competition that is dominated by the spirit of one family during the holy month of Ramadan. He added that Mansoura University's keenness to provide all aspects of cooperation and support to neighboring universities by hosting various activities and events. He also thanked and appreciated the University Faculty Club for its efforts throughout the academic year, through organizing many different events, as well as the distinguished and diverse services provided by the club for the benefit of faculty members.
Prof. Abdel Qader Mohamed Abdel Qader pointed out the club's keenness to organize many different events, including this course, noting that Mansoura University has organized 20 Ramadan courses so far, and hosted the universities of the coast in its 19th course last year, while this year's course is the second course held with the participation of Delta Alliance universities.
Following the announcement of Prof. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, of the opening of the course activities, a distinguished karate show was presented with the participation of students of the Faculty of Physical Education at Mansoura University.
Then the opening match started between the teams of Mansoura University and New Mansoura University, and ended in a 0-0 draw. The best player in the match, Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Al-Dhahabi, from Mansoura University’s team, and the best goalkeeper, Dr. Ahmed Gomaa, from the New Mansoura University team, were honored.
Damietta University’s team also defeated Delta University 2-0, and the best player in the match, Dr. Ibrahim Abdel Mohsen, from Damietta University team, and the best goalkeeper, Dr. Ahmed Saeed, from Delta University, were honored.
It is noteworthy that the 20th expanded Ramadan tournament includes the universities championship and includes Mansoura University, Mansoura National, New Mansoura, Damietta, Delta, Horus, Kafr El-Sheikh, and Mansoura University faculties’ championships under and over the age, and 40 teams participate in the championships.
