Mansoura University President Participates in Iftar Meals with University Students with Disabilities

Prof. Cherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, participated in  Iftar meals at the Nile Club on March 20, 2025, with Mansoura University students with disabilities from various faculties. The Iftar was organized by the Center for Services for Persons with Disabilities, in cooperation with the General Administration for Student Welfare and the Mansoura University Student Union.

The event was attended by Mr. Saad Abdel Wahab, Secretary General of the University; Dr. Walid El-Tantawy, Assistant Secretary for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Mohamed Saraya, Coordinator of Student Activities; Mr. Ahmed El-Ashry, Director General of Student Elfare; Ali Ismail, President of the University Student Union; and members of the union. A wide range of students with disabilities from various faculties and a number of students' mothers also participated.

Prof.Cherif Khater congratulated the students and all attendees on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, the anniversary of the October 10 victories, and the celebration of Mother's Day. He thanked those in charge of organizing the celebration and praised the role played by the Center for Services for Students with Disabilities in providing the necessary support to this distinguished group of students. He added that the university works to support and empower students with disabilities by providing an integrated educational and community environment that helps them integrate and achieve excellence. He emphasized that holding this distinguished annual ceremony reflects the university's commitment to providing a nurturing environment for them, enabling them to actively participate in university activities.

The university president added that this ceremony reflects the spirit of solidarity and cooperation within the university community, noting that the university will continue its efforts to provide all forms of support to them, in line with the "Tamkeen" initiative launched by the Ministry of Higher Education under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

It is worth noting that the iftar celebration included a Ramadan evening, competitions, and songs celebrating the holy month and Mother's Day. A number of students' mothers were also honored as part of the Mother's Day celebrations.
