Mansoura University Concludes Ramadan Tournament in the Presence of the Governor of Dakahlia

Prof. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, and Major General Tarek Marzouk, Governor of Dakahlia, attended the closing ceremony of the 20th Expanded Ramadan Tournament on March 19, 2025. The tour was held under the theme "Partnership for Human Development." The tour was organized by the Faculty Staff Club at Mansoura University, with the participation of several Delta Region Alliance universities.
The ceremony was attended by Prof. Hamdan Rabie, President of Damietta University; Prof. Montaser Dawoud, President of Samanoud University of Technology; Prof. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development at Mansoura University; Prof. Tarek Ghalwash, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research at Mansoura University; the Vice Presidents of the Alliance universities participating in the Ramadan Tournament; Prof. Abdel Qader Mohamed, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Faculty Club; deans and vice presidents at Mansoura University; and a number of faculty members, staff, and students.
Prof. Cherif Khater welcomed Major General Tarek Marzouk to Mansoura University. He also expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Faculty Members Club management, emphasizing the university administration's commitment to providing all services to its members, with the aim of creating an environment conducive to creativity and excellence in sports. He had also welcomed the delegations from the participating universities, expressing his hope that they achieved their goals of promoting positive communication and bonds of friendship among faculty members at the participating universities through friendly sports competitions that reflect the spirit of one family during the holy month of Ramadan.
Major General Tarek Marzouk, Governor of Dakahlia, expressed his pleasure at attending the Ramadan tournament and his appreciation for Mansoura University and its distinguished role in various fields. He praised its organization of this tournament, based on its belief in the importance of sports, and emphasized the need to develop young talents and guide them in the right direction. He expressed his appreciation for the efforts made to make the Ramadan tournament a success, expressing his gratitude to Prof. Cherif Khater, the organizers of the tournament, and all participants. He emphasized his keenness to participate in this event in appreciation of Mansoura University, its staff, and its students.
Prof. Abdel Qader Mohamed welcomed Major General Tarek Marzouk's presence at Mansoura University and his honoring of the closing ceremony of the Ramadan tournament. He emphasized the club's commitment to organizing a variety of sporting events with the participation of various sectors at Mansoura University, extending this to include Delta universities.
Prof. Cherif Khater presented the Ramadan Tournament shield to Major General Tarek Marzouk, Governor of Dakahlia, in appreciation of his generous presence and continued support.
The ceremony included a saxophone performance, followed by the launch of the final round of sporting events in football, table tennis, billiards, and chess. The event concluded with the presentation of the tournament cup, gold and silver medals, and honorary shields.
It is worth noting that the 20th expanded Ramadan tournament includes the Universities Championship, which includes the following universities: Mansoura, Mansoura National, New Mansoura, Damietta, Delta, Horus, and Kafr El-Sheikh. The tournament also includes competitions for Mansoura University faculties (under- and over-age), with the participation of 40 teams.
