Establishing the First International Training and Innovation Center in Partnership with the Iraqi Al-Mustaqbal University

Prof. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, accompanied by Prof. Hassan Shaker Magdy, President of the Iraqi Al-Mustaqbal University, inspected Mansoura University’s building in New Mansoura City on August 28, 2025. The building is scheduled to house the Al-Mustaqbal Center for Training and Innovation. The center will be established within the framework of joint cooperation between Mansoura University and the Iraqi Future University, in partnership with Intilaq Information and Communications Technology Company.

The center is scheduled to be the first international training and innovation center in the Delta, aiming to prepare students and graduates for the local, regional, and international labor markets through a package of advanced training programs that keep pace with the latest global trends in education and training. These programs include: developing personal and leadership skills, developing digital competencies, information technology and artificial intelligence technologies, e-learning applications, business incubators, innovation, and entrepreneurship. The center is expected to serve as a bridge between academic and applied education, linking educational outcomes to labor market needs and providing a creative environment that supports youth in devising practical solutions to societal and economic challenges. It also contributes to preparing qualified human resources capable of competing globally, strengthening the two universities' positions as regional partners in shaping the future of education, training, and scientific research.

Participating from Mansoura University were Prof. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Tarek Ghalwash, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research. The delegation from the Iraqi Al-Mustaqbal University also included Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Hassan, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision; Dr. Ammar Al-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty of Law; Dr. Saad Al-Alam, Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit; and Dr. Iman Abdel Aziz, from the Sustainable Development Division.

Prof. Cherif Khater said that the establishment of the center falls within the framework of implementing the university's vision to expand applied programs that keep pace with global developments. He noted that the center will serve as an integrated training platform that provides a creative environment for students and graduates and provides business incubators to support youth projects, enhancing the university's role in serving society and achieving sustainable development. He added that the partnership with the Iraqi Future University, within the framework of cooperation with Intelaq, reflects the trend toward integrating academic and technical expertise to serve the two universities' shared goals of supporting innovation and developing the higher education system. He pointed out that the establishment of the center reflects the university's interest in building bridges of cooperation with the local and regional communities by providing specialized training programs in various fields that keep pace with labor market requirements. He also explained that Intelaq will provide technical support for the center by developing digital platforms and technological infrastructure to ensure the provision of world-class training programs and connect students and graduates with international expertise.

Prof. Hassan Shaker Magdy expressed his deep appreciation for the cooperation with Mansoura University, emphasizing that the center will represent a unique model of Arab integration in the field of training and innovation and will be a strategic step toward building educational and research partnerships that will contribute to preparing a new generation of youth with the skills and expertise necessary to achieve development in our Arab countries. He also expressed his pleasure with the visit to Mansoura University, emphasizing that the tour opened new horizons for academic and scientific cooperation, and that Mansoura University represents a pioneering model in the development of education and scientific research at the regional level. He added that the cooperation protocol with Mansoura University represents an important step toward exchanging expertise and developing academic and research programs, noting Al-Mustaqbal University's commitment to building strategic partnerships with prestigious universities, most notably Mansoura University.

Prof. Tarek Ghalwash said that the International Center for Training and Innovation will be an advanced research and training platform that combines academic and applied aspects by integrating practical training with the latest technological techniques.

Following the visit to the training center, Prof. Cherif Khater accompanied the Iraqi delegation to Mansoura University, where a meeting was held in the presence of the Vice Presidents of Mansoura University and a number of academic leaders at Mansoura University. The meeting discussed the university's most prominent financial, human, infrastructure, and technological capabilities, including its specialized laboratories equipped with the latest educational equipment and tools.

This was followed by an inspection tour of the university, which included educational buildings, laboratories, classrooms, and the university theater. The program concluded with an extensive tour of New Mansoura City.

The delegation praised the modern academic and urban facilities they saw, which represent a qualitative leap in the development of university education in Egypt.
